Managing Leads in EventDesk

The Leads section helps you track potential clients from first contact to conversion.

You can:
  • Add new leads
  • Update lead status
  • Track progress
  • Convert leads into clients
  • Monitor lost opportunities
 
Understanding Lead Status

Leads are categorized into the following stages:

  • New – Recently added lead
  • Contacted – Initial communication completed
  • Proposal Sent – Estimate or proposal shared
  • Follow Up – Awaiting response or further discussion
  • Converted – Lead successfully converted into a client
  • Lost – Lead did not proceed

You can filter leads using these status tabs at the top.
 
Adding a New Lead
Follow these steps to create a new lead.
 
Step 1: Go to Leads
  1. From the left sidebar, click Leads.
  2. Click Add Lead.

The Create New Lead window will open.
 
Step 2: Enter Lead Details

Fill in the required information:

🔹 Name *
Enter the lead’s full name.

🔹 Email
Enter their email address.

🔹 Phone
Enter contact number.

🔹 Company
Add company name if applicable.

🔹 Address
Enter their location details.

🔹 Status *
Select the current stage (default: New).

🔹 Notes
Add additional information such as:
  • Event requirement
  • Budget range
  • Discussion summary
 
Step 3: Create Lead

Click Create Lead.
The lead will now appear in the Leads list.
 
Updating Lead Status
To move a lead through the sales process:
  1. Open the lead.
  2. Edit the Status field.
  3. Save changes.

Keep the status updated to reflect real progress.
 
Converting a Lead to a Client
Once a lead confirms:
  1. Update status to Converted.
  2. Create a client profile (if not already created).
  3. Proceed with event creation and estimates.
 
Marking a Lead as Lost
If the opportunity does not proceed:
  1. Update status to Lost.
  2. Add notes explaining the reason.

This helps track conversion rates and improve strategy.
 
Searching & Filtering Leads
Use:
  • The search bar to find a specific lead.
  • Status filters to view leads by stage.
